When Egos Collide

It’s the cloud burst with a thunder,
A volcano erupting deep down under,
It’s the fire that spreads far and wide,
Calamity strikes, when egos collide.

Differing ideas start the fight,
It’s the dilemma of right vs. right,
Obsessed to the core with self- pride,
It’s the clash of wills, when egos collide.

Wild arrogance engulf the soul,
“An eye for an eye” the heart howl,
The insane mind goes for a ride,
Madness rushes in, when egos collide.

Break –ups, fights, families part,
Hatred divides the loved ones apart,
Kingdoms perish, Countries divide,
No one is spared, when egos collide.

Breaking the ice, as they say,
Does help put the egos away.
A warm smile can fill the void,
Speak your heart out, when egos collide.

But that’s easier said than done,
The first step seems lifting a ton
And pride keeps alive the ego inside,
Is there a way out, when egos collide ???

Painkiller….

My knees are bruised,
The feet swollen,
Leech feeding through,
On the wounds wide open.

O’ Painkiller, O’ Painkiller,
Where r u O’ great healer,
I fight myself to find u,
For I know, u r somewhere near.

My soul getting tortured,
Pushing hard to get out,
I cry loud in agony,
the death trapping me,
There’s no way out.

O’ Painkiller, O’ Painkiller,
Where r u O’ great healer,
I fight myself to find u,
For I know, u r somewhere near.

Yes .. Oh Yes …I now feel you,
The pain is gone,
The wounds healed ..
But my soul still fears,
Untill it sees you in real …

Come out O’ Painkiller,
For I know, u r somewhere near….
For I know, u r somewhere near…….

You Made My Day

Alone in the woods on a misty day,
Chasing the Unknown, I lost my way,
Clueless, Helpless, still seeking the ray,
And I saw "You", as the mist cleared away.

Snow filled mountains, lush green ground,
Pleasant breeze floating all around,
Clad in sheet of flowers, You stood still,
Valley seemed bowing down to Princess of the hill.

Glowing eyes and divine smile,
You spellbound me for a while,
Lifeless, yet so full of life,
Has the Goddess descended from paradise ?

Are You the unknown , I seek for ?
The perfect one I longed for !!
Awestruck , dumbfound, I touched You,
And You disappeared, before I knew.

Got up from the dream with a smile,
Something occurred to me that while,
"From day to night and night to day,
Near to you or far away,
Just a thought of You is enough,
And I know ,You made my day".

Life on Bench

freshly out from training days,
where i worked in funny ways,
i see myself in a different trench,
"they" call my status "on bench".

how to pass a day so....long,
has now become my morning song,
hope of getting an allocation,
i come to office with xpectations.

sitting idle the whole day,
i do nothing, but still get the pay,
sleep,yawn and roam everywhere,
i often wonder y i'm here???

cant go out,cant go home,
i just pray"om shanti om",
right from breakfast to evening tea,
i hope against hope...poor me!!

Moving on ..

I still remember the wonderful day,
From the divine shell, you made out your way,
Your journey had just arrived upon,
I embraced you, we together had to move on.

Motherly love and paternal affection,
You got pampered with all warmth and protection,
With fun and joy showered upon,
You wished if you could hang on,
"Someone needs you" I said, we had to move on.

Her charming beauty and how she looked,
Your eyes met and you got hooked,
Ecstasy and pain that you shared,
You fell for her , nothing else you cared,
If time could halt, you wished upon,
"Life is calling" I said, we had to move on.

Tiring days and sleepless nights,
You stood up to prove your might,
Your win made me humbled,
I got stronger when you tumbled,
Name, fame and dreams achieved,
you wished to stay on,
"Reach out for stars" I said, we had to move on.

Tiring limbs and gloomy sight,
Road to "Gateway" was shining bright,
Daring , caring, a true brave-heart,
Nice time spent ,but we had to part,
You wished to see another dawn,
"I am a nomad" I said, I had to move on.
